Air Suvidha Self Declaration Form for India

The Indian government has recently stopped requiring foreign visitors to fill out the Air Suvidha Self Declaration Form for India.
India, like many other countries, enacted its own set of measures in response to the global spread of the Covid-19 virus. In order to keep tabs on any possible covid instances brought on by overseas travel, the Indian government introduced the Air Suvidha Self Declaration Form in August 2020. You can breeze through the airport with the Air Suvidha since you won’t have to stand in huge lines to fill out paperwork.
It is not necessary to obtain a visa to enter India if you are a citizen of India or an Overseas Citizen of India (holder of an OCI card). However, unless they are citizens of a visa-exempt country, all foreign passport holders will need to apply for and obtain the appropriate India Tourist Visa for US citizens. Atlys is where you may apply for a visa and learn more about India.
There are a few things to think about before you begin filling out your Air Suvidha Self Declaration Form. In this post, I’ll address all of your concerns and explain how to complete the form. So, to begin:

What Is the Air Suvidha Self Declaration Form

All overseas travelers arriving in India through New Delhi Airport have access to Air Suvidha Self Declaration. The Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) have mandated this contactless solution. Air Suvidha provides an internet platform where all international passengers can self-declare their health status.
The Indian Health Declaration Form is a basic document that helps keep tabs on the spread of the coronavirus for the Indian Health Authorities. It also facilitates the identification of potential infected travellers and the prompt communication with them to advise on quarantine and treatment procedures.
The New Delhi Airport website hosts the Self Declaration Form within the Air Suvidha Portal/Air Suvidha Online Portal. All of India’s international airports require this form.
You must fill out and submit the online India Health Declaration form prior to travelling to India. You can expect to receive the finalised form via email and then print it out. There is a chance you could enter India or aboard the flight without this document.

Who Must Fill the Air Suvidha Self Declaration Form

All international incoming passengers are required to fill out the Air Suvidha Self Declaration Form on the Air Suvidha website prior to their arrival in India. This includes both Indian nationals and those who hold the special Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) card. The self-declaration form via the air suvidha site is mandatory for all international travelers passing through Indian airports, regardless of their ultimate destination.
A self-declaration form with all the pertinent details must be filled out by each adult traveler. However, parents or guardians can complete the form on behalf of their children younger than 5 years old.
Similarly, passengers entering India via land or sea are required to complete a self-declaration form and hand it over to Indian authorities upon arrival. Similar to the air suvidha form, a self-declaration form must be submitted for children less than 5. It can be done on behalf of minors by their parents or legal guardians.

Requirements Before Filling the Air Suvidha Self Declaration Form

The online form will be much simpler to complete if you have all the necessary documentation on hand. As I indicated previously, all international aircraft passengers coming in India are required to fill out a health disclosure form before leaving their home country.
The following items are required to complete the self-declaration form:
⦁ Copies of current passports
⦁ A valid certificate of primary ⦁ covid immunisation from a country where such vaccination is recommended.
⦁ OR Within 72 hours of departure, a negative RT-PCR data was obtained.
⦁ Fill your valid contact number.
⦁ One that can receive emails
⦁ Specifics of your trip
Children under the age of five need a parent or legal guardian to fill out a self-declaration form and provide a copy of their passport to verify their age.
If you are fully vaccinated, the government no longer requires you to submit proof of a negative covid-19 RT-PCR test. Certificates of immunisation against covid-19 issued in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and Australia are all recognised in India. You need to get your final covid-19 shot at least 15 days before you travel to India.
A covid-19 test is not required for children younger than 5 years old. As a result, they don’t have to take the covid-19 test before leaving or entering India.
Covid-19 testing is not routinely administered, but thermal scans are in place at all Indian airports in case a kid or adult exhibits symptoms of the virus. This checkup is on the traveller, who must pay for it. If your covid-19 test comes back positive, you will be required to self-monitor for 7 days and go into quarantine in an institution for at least 14 days.
various airlines have various covid-19 test criteria, so it’s important to check with your airline ahead of time.

I Am Having Troubles Submitting My Air Suvidha Form Online

Don’t worry if you have problems submitting. It could be because you haven’t yet submitted your results from the Covid-19 test. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies and resubmitting the form. If neither of those options works, choose any date within 72 hours of departure under Date of RT-PCR Test Taken and attach your covid vaccination certificate file where it asks for RT-PCR Negative Certificate. The authorities at the airport are aware of this flaw and have allowed this technique of submitting the paperwork.
