Underwater Zoo is the place one step up from the aquarium tank. It is divided into three different parts for valued guests.

Above all three places contain life of different creatures and environments. There are total of 40 individual aquatic displays in the underwater Zoo. Rocky shores as shown by its name, describe the life of creatures that relate to rocks like Spiders, Crabs, and Starfish. Everyone is allowed to touch their hard and soft skin.

Rain forest contains species like water Rats, Giant Catfish, and Piranhas along with a short family of Otters.   

Penguins:

One section of the underwater Zoo occupies Penguin Cove. Moreover, Gento Penguins with a population of 16 are placed in the Zoo. Penguins are very friendly aquatic animals and people are having a lot of fun playing with them. An advanced temperature control system is installed in the underwater Zoo to nourish Gento Penguins as they are a breed of cold water of Antarctica. They have a charismatic nature due to which guests are feeling so comfortable to play with. They are famous for their pool slides and people are very much inspired by their behavior.

Otters:

Asian small clawed otters are the largest aquatic mammal species at Dubai Aquarium. They are very fond of being visited by the guests and give their company to guests all the time. When visited they change their behavior and perform with different joyful stunts. During their feeding tenure, they are behaving more energetic and viewers are amused to see their joyful performance.

The King Croc

A 16-foot (5-meter) saltwater crocodile. The enormous reptile used to reside in Queensland, Australia, where he had taken over the Botanic Gardens. King Croc weighs 1,653 lbs (750 kg), which is roughly the weight of 14 and a half men. He is one of the largest reptiles currently in captivity and has the most powerful bite force of any animal on the planet. The crocodile is 40 years old and will continue to grow in size over the next 50 years. The fruit bat is one of the UAE’s night creatures. The bat is primarily nocturnal, hunting for food at night. It helps humans by eating mosquitos, which are responsible for a variety of diseases, including malaria.

The barn owl has the most acute hearing and binocular vision of any bird or animal. While most owls hoot, the barn owl screeches or hisses. The desert hedgehog is blind and deaf, so it must rely on its extraordinary sense of smell to find food in the desert. It is commonly seen in the rich wadis and forested areas of the desert, as well as burrows to avoid the daytime heat. The false cobra got its name from its unusual behaviour of lifting the front of its body off the ground, much like a cobra. False cobras can be found in Eritrea, North Africa, and the Arabian Peninsula.

The veiled chameleon, like other reptiles, changes colour to blend in with its surroundings. It has a pulverised body that looks like leaves as well as a heavily muscled tongue that it utilises to straps and grab insect pests.

Exploration

Junior and Senior Aquarists are two fun adventure experiences for children at Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo. By participating in this adventure, the children will be able to determine whether they want to be marine biologists when they grow up. The activity is designed for children aged 5 to 15, who will enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour, meeting an aquarist, riding in a glass-bottom boat, watching a shark feed, and helping to feed the animals. Advance reservations are required, and the program is available daily from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., excluding Fridays and Saturdays, as well as public holidays.

  • In the aquarium, as in the rest of the UAE, there are some things that visitors should not do in public. These include openly showing affection, losing your temper, using drugs, and not eating or drinking in public during Ramadan.
