Frosty exploration in Dubai

If you have never been on a family ski vacation, even if it is on your bucket list, you should visit Ski Dubai during your vacation, which is the world's most famous indoor ski resort in Dubai. It also felt surreal to be able to go to the snow when the temperature outside was a sweltering 44 degrees

In the middle of the Arabian Desert, there are snow peaks, chairlifts, and penguins. Doesn't it sound like a wild midnight dream? But, thanks to Ski Dubai, it is now a reality. A massive resort spread over 22,500 square metres in Dubai makes ice skiing a reality in the midst of the scorching sun. Aside from the thrilling indoor rides ranging from zip lining to snowboarding, the resort is world-renowned for its indoor ski experience. Take a walk around with your gloves and masks on, and you'll come back with some unforgettable memories.

Ski Dubai Location

The Mall of Emirates is one of the world's largest shopping malls. Ski Dubai is the mall's highlight, among the most diverse shopping, dining, and cinema experiences available. Furthermore, visitors can use the special Snow Classic Pass, which allows multiple entries, to hop in and out of the mall on the same day.

The pass, however, only allows access to the Snow Park and rides; for skiing, visitors must renew their passes. Having said that, Ski Dubai draws visitors of all ages. With a constant temperature of -4°C, you can enjoy a warm hot chocolate at their cafes while enjoying the winter chills. Furthermore, because it is an indoor resort, it is open all year, so whether it is a long summer day or a boring weekend, Ski Dubai is a great place to visit.

How to Get There

If you're wondering how to get to Ski Dubai, look no further!

Using the Metro

The Mall of the Emirates station serves the Mall of the Emirates, which houses Ski Dubai. The M1 metro line will take you to the Ski Dubai location, which is located on the Redline.

By Bus

Take the bus to stops 81, 93, and F29. These buses will drop you off near the Mall of the Emirates and take you to your destination.

By Car

The Mall of the Emirates, located in the heart of New Dubai, is easily accessible by car via interchange 4 on Sheikh Zayed Road.

Parking: The mall has a four-tiered car park with over 7,000 parking spaces. The parking is electronically monitored for available spaces and colour coded to make it easy to find your way back.

Ski Dubai Timings

On Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, Ski Dubai opens at 10:00 a.m. and closes at 12:00 a.m.

It is open from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. on weekends (Friday and Saturday). Every day, at 11:30 p.m., the last ticket will be sold.

Entry fee

The cost of admission to this winter wonderland varies depending on your age and the amount of time you want to spend there. If you have the luxury of time, consider purchasing a polar ticket, which allows you to alternate between the mall and the park. The basic pass, on the other hand, is a single entry pass with a two-hour duration within the park. In addition to various rides and attractions, the resort offers a variety of packages and combos from which to choose.

The basic Snow Park Package, which includes all of the main activities and attractions, costs AED 190 per person, while the express polar pass costs AED 340 per person.

Familiarities at Ski Dubai

The Ski Dubai experience is designed for ease of use. It's located inside the Mall of the Emirates, one of the world's largest shopping malls, and is surrounded by a variety of stores and restaurants. They provide almost everything you could possibly need, including lift tickets, ski or snowboard rentals, and even warm outerwear (and helmets are provided for children)

The Ski Dubai Park provides a variety of experiences. It's primarily an indoor ski slope with five different runs and a vertical drop of several hundred feet, including the world's first indoor black diamond run. You buy a 2-hour lift ticket and then add on additional hours.

There are already tube slides, jumps, a toboggan run, and a live King Penguin innovative attribute (we've never ever seen penguins at a ski resort earlier, but that's Dubai!).

This location is fascinating. The snow is of good quality. It does not become icy because the sun does not shine on it. The run is a little too short for us (around 400 metres), but it's cool to think you're doing it in the desert. The temperature on the slopes is 30 °F (-1 °C) all year.

Skiing in Dubai is a bizarre experience. Even though it is blazing hot outside, you can feel the chill of winter on real snow. Skiing in Dubai was incredible.

Wild Wadi Water Park in Dubai

Wild Wadi Water Park in Dubai is not largest waterpark. However, it is quite large. And only second in terms of total area. In fact, if only size is considered, it is directly behind the Aquaventure water theme park. And deciding between them to determine a clear winner will be difficult A few factors distinguish Wild Wadi from the other water theme parks in Dubai. Whether it's Aquaventure or Laguna. Wild Wadi was the city's first water park. Wild Wadi is a fascinating place to visit, surrounded by the iconic Burj al Arab, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, and Madinat Jumeirah. How to Get to Wild Wadi Water Park in Dubai By Bus: Wild Wadi is served by buses 8, 81, 88, N55, and X28. By Metro: The Mall of Emirates Station and Umm Al Sheif Metro Station are the closest metro stations to Wild Wadi Waterpark. The park is a 6-minute cab ride away from here. By Car: If you are travelling by car, there is plenty of parking available outside the Wild Wadi park grounds. By Cab: Cabs to Wild Wadi Park are easily accessible. In Dubai, taxi fares begin at AED 12. Entrance Fees: If you are taller than 43 inches (1.1 metres), the price is 336 dirhams; if you are shorter than 43 inches (1.1 metres), the price is 284 dirhams. Children under the age of two are admitted free of charge, but proof of age is required. When Is the Best Time to Visit Wild Wadi Waterpark? Wild Wadi Waterpark is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Sunday. Arrive early to avoid the long lines. Attractions in the vicinity of Wild Wadi Water Park The proximity to other tourist attractions is one of the factors that make Wild Wadi a favorite waterpark among Dubai residents and visitors from around the world. The wild wadi water park is surrounded by tens of thousands of landmarks and attractions. Because of its convenient location near the main city. It would be impossible to list all of the attractions near the Wild Wadi Waterpark. But here are the most notable of them all. Burj Al Arab This is the iconic luxury hotel that has long represented Dubai. Although there is no such thing as a seven-star hotel, some people do refer to the Burj Al Arab as such because of its extravagant luxury. Some of the hotel's interior is entirely covered in pure gold. The hotel has a number of luxury restaurants and spas. The Burj al Arab was built to replace Dubai's first five-star hotel, the Chicago Beach Hotel. Initially, the new hotel was also going to be called the same thing. However, the ruler of Dubai chose the name Burj Al Arab a few months before its opening to be iconic of the region's culture and heritage. For a long time, the Burj al Arab hotel symbolised Dubai's prosperity. However, the Burj Khalifa has largely taken over that role. Jumeirah beach hotel Before the Burj al Arab, there was the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. In fact, the sail-shaped Burj al Arab and the wave-shaped Jumeirah beach hotel are built next to each other perfectly. This hotel should be at the top of your list if you want to enjoy the view of the Arabian Gulf while staying in Dubai. The Wild Wadi Park is also directly accessible from the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. To top it all off, guests of this hotel have unlimited access to the water theme park. Something useful if you intend to include a visit to the Wild Wadi in your itinerary. If you stay at this hotel, you will also have access to the private beach. The Jumeirah beach hotel was already standing tall next to the Chicago beach hotel when it was demolished. This hotel, while not as well-known as the Burj Al Arab, is also a symbol of luxury in Dubai. Souk Madinat Jumeirah Souk Madinat Jumeirah is seven kilometres away from Wild Wadi Park, unlike the prior 2 places of interest, which are straight in front of the waterpark. And there's something else that might surprise you. This lovely location is free to visit. Yes, without having to pay anything. If this is your first time in Dubai, you should also try Safari. Souk Madinat Jumeirah was inspired by traditional Dubai architecture. It will be built in the style of historical buildings found in Dubai's old quarter. And, like the old souks, this is a shopping destination. However, this is a modern destination in that regard. There are dozens of branded stores and entertainment options in this area. This area was originally known as the Chicago beach village. Those who worked for the Chicago construction company had homes in this neighbourhood. Wild Wadi Restaurants The Wild Wadi Park has six food cafes to satisfy your hunger, ranging from fast food favourites like burgers, hotdogs, and shawarmas to healthy fruit juices and smoothies. Riptide Pizza Ali’s BBQ Shahbandar’s Cafe Julshan’s Burgers and Dogs Juha’s Family Kitchen Leila’s Fruits and Snacks Know the best rides you should head first for all thrill levels, Jumeirah Sceirah Climb into one of the two capsules and feel the tension rise as you wait for the floor below to open. Once released, you and another guest will travel at an incredible 80 km/h down the 120-metre tandem slides. Children and adults will enjoy it the most. Speed Slide is the ride type. During this ride, keep your arms and legs crossed at all times. Burj Surj Take a seat in a shared tube and begin the ride by sliding down a large waterslide. After that, you'll go through two spiralling spins before embarking on another downhill waterslide that will drop you into a pool with a splash. One tube can only be shared by a maximum of five people. Family Slide is the best ride type for both children and adults. Tantrum Alley In the park, there's yet another waterslide. This one, however, is more than just a waterslide; it combines a variety of adrenaline-pumping sections to make your ride unforgettable. There are three tornadoes in this ride, which has two long sections of waterslides The three tornadoes that follow one after the other ensure that no one goes without screaming. From the top of this ride, you can get a good view of the Jumeirah Beach Road. That is probably not the first thing you notice as you are thrown around in this wild ride. Nonetheless. At the end of this ride, you will take a loud plunge into the pool after all of the testing tornadoes. However, this ride is best suited for groups. You must go on this ride with at least two other people. And the maximum number of people allowed is four. To ride, one must be taller than 1.1 metres. Breakers bay This is the ride where you can go as long as you want. Immerse yourself in the Breakers Bay, Dubai's largest wave pool. The waves in this pool are usually gentle and predictable. But keep an eye out for sudden bursts of powerful waves that will catch you off guard. This pool is only for people taller than 1.1 metres, and children must be supervised at all times. Juha’s journey This ride is named after the character who serves as the theme park's main attraction. Wild Wade is obsessed with around Juha's adventure, and this ride is no exception. But don't expect any tense adventures in Juhas Journey. Rather, it is a lazy river about 360 metres long This is most likely the ride you want to take in between all the thrilling and exciting ones. Lie on a float and float with the gentle tides. To top it all off, there are no height or age restrictions on this ride. However, parents should keep a close eye on their children at all times and ensure that they are wearing their life jackets. But it's not all boring. There are a few small waterfalls along the way that will take your breath away. After you've had your fill of sunbathing in the water, you can resume your adrenaline rush on other rides. Master blasters How about converting a roller coaster into a waterslide? That is exactly what the Master Blaster is. Unlike a regular water slide, which only transports you down the stream, this ride features high-powered water jets that provide a gravity-defying experience. There are sections of the ride that take you fifteen metres up the stream This fascinating ride, however, is not a single ride. In fact, the Master Blaster is a collection of eight rides, each of which provides a unique riding experience. However, it has height and weight restrictions for those who ride on it. People who weigh more than 120kg or are shorter than 1.1 metres are not permitted to ride master blasters. Juha’s Dhow and Lagoon Over 100 water activities, including five slides, racing slides, a dumping bucket, and water guns, are available in this interactive family-friendly play structure. This play area was created specifically for children. Play Area is the best type of ride for children. This ride has a height restriction for children under 1.1 metres tall and their parent/guardian. Action River In this action-packed river ride, you'll bounce along waves, go under a waterfall, and face unexpected rapids. Flood River has unannounced surges of 100,000 litres of water, resulting in 1 metre-high waves and rapid river rapids. Children and adults will enjoy it the most. River is the ride type. Wipeout & Riptide Wipeout is the ideal place to bodyboard, kneeboard, and even surf. The ride creates a realistic wave effect by shooting out more than seven tonnes of water per second in a thin sheet across a moulded foam structure. Adults and children alike will enjoy it. Surf Machine is the ride type. This is one of only four rides like it in the world. Don't pass it up. Tips The water park's retail outlets sell a wide variety of merchandise such as swimwear, t-shirts, towels, and so on. This park, like other water parks, has age restrictions on certain rides, so bring your ID with you. First and foremost, bring your sunglasses and sunscreen lotions to avoid getting a tan. Do not bring food inside because it is restricted; instead, there are multiple food chains where you can get the food of your choice. GoPro cameras are allowed (except on Jumeirah Sceirah). Babies and toddlers must wear diapers that are waterproof. In the pools, children are not permitted to swim naked. All guests staying at Jumeirah Hotels are entitled to free admission to Wild Wadi Park. If possible, visit the park during the week. On weekdays, it's far less crowded than on weekends. Avoid visiting Jumeirah Sceirah at the final moment of each day; the queue will shut within 45 minutes well before park is closed on busy evenings. To avoid long lines, purchase your Wild Wadi tickets online ahead of time.  Provide snack breaks, especially for children, and ensure that everyone in your group stays hydrated. Before entering the park, make sure your phone and/or camera are fully charged.

Dubai Creek

Dubai Creek is a seawater mine that goes through the heart of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is also known locally as Khor Dubai. The creek is said to have once flowed as far as the same. Deira and Bur Dubai are two sections that are created by division through the creek, where Deira Gold Souk can be found. The creek has played an important role in Dubai's history, recruiting individuals from all over the world, including tribal settlers from Bani Yas in the nineteenth century. The Creek's warm, shallow waters are also home to a plethora of fish, which are dependent on the local culture and economy. History The creek has served as a protected and essential port for ships heading to Gulf Arabian ports since ancient times. However, in the 1950s, due to heavy ship traffic, a creek separation occurred. HH Sheikh Rasheed bin Saeed Al Maktoum subsequently appointed a team to investigate the Creek's vast potential. A canal was dug up about 4 4,000 feet long and six feet deep, with 1200 feet X 11 on both sides of the creek, after the Dubai Creek Dredging Fund was created specifically for the purpose and support of the Kuwaiti government. Thousands of feet of sheets were laid. Dubai's positioning as a major port city in the Middle East has become a significant source of its diversity. Charismatic Kirk divides Dubai into two major districts: Bur Dubai and Deira, as it passes through the city center. Retro vibes can be found in every nook and cranny of the creek and its environs. Traditional wood wash and shaking, as well as old-fashioned buildings that reflect Arab hospitality. All of these factors combine to make Dubai Creek a vital part of the city. Having said that, among the region's historic charms are plenty of nice buildings, such as Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary - Settlement is unusual for its ancient Wind Tower homestead and a museum with al-Fahdi Fort, making it a haven for nature lovers and bird watchers. What is the best way to get to Dubai Creek? It takes 15 minutes to drive from Dubai International Airport to the Al Garhoud Bridge, which connects Bur Dubai and Deira. The Business Bay Bridge and Al Maktoum Bridge use to connect both areas. From Deira, buses, metros, and ferries connect to Dubai Creek. In Dubai, a ticket to Dubai Creek is required. The entrance fee to Creek Park Dubai is approximately 5 dirhams per person and can be paid at any of the park's entrances. Garhoud Bridge is the main entrance to the park, but you can also enter through Gate 1, which is closer to the cable car ride. In the Bur Dubai area, there are a variety of hotel options ranging from budget to luxury. XVA art and Zabeel House Al Seef hotel are two popular selections. Venues and activities in Dubai Creek Abra rides You can't really say you've seen everything Dubai Creek has to provide without going on an abra ride. True, because you'll need to cross the creek to visit even more markets and souks. Take an abra in Deira or Bur Dubai, pay one dirham (yes, one dirham), and enjoy a unique perspective of Dubai's most historic quarter. Abras can be found all along Dubai Creek, but the best place to catch one is in the Al Fahidi neighborhood. JA Bateaux Dubai JA Bateaux the most well-known eating experience at Al Seef is definitely Dubai. This established Dubai Creek excursion, which has been running for more than ten years and offers packages that include soft drinks or house beverages, is the ultimate in water dining in the city. A four-course lunch will be served throughout your two-and-a-half-hour Dubai Creek cruise. JA Bateax of France designed it and is identical to the boats you'll see gliding down the Seine in Paris. It's a one-of-a-kind way to spend an evening, with breathtaking views over Dubai's Old Town, including the souks. Dubai Frame Visitors can go inside and up to the bridge of Dubai Frame over at Zabeel Park, and it's not just a unique structure that captures the city in a colossal-sized frame. And, whether you're there for the day, sunset, or night, the interpretations of "old" plus "new" Dubai from a 150-meter tall firmament glass bridge are spectacular. If you didn't know, the bridge has an entirely see-through bottom, which is always a nerve-wracking experience. If you walk across it, you'll be considered one of the bravest of the group. Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club There's nothing quite like teeing off next to the cool sea breeze of Dubai Creek, which is why Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club has become a popular tourist destination for Dubai golfers. This award-winning course is one of Dubai's most picturesque 18-hole Championship and Par 3 golf courses, and its central location makes it very accessible. It has a cutting-edge academy and fantastic 19th holes, as well as a platform on the creek where you can tee off on one of the holes. After the game, relax at the Boardwalk or QD's for some tasty nourishment. Dubai Creek Park Dubai Creek Park is the second-largest park in Dubai and has been a prevalent hangout for years thanks to its lush views of the creek and ample space for a variety of activities. There are also bicycles available for rent for a relaxing ride. One of the best places to visit in Dubai Creek is this park, which invites everyone to sit back and relax. Why Do Dubai Hot Air Balloon Rides Always Happen at Sunrise? From 3,000 AED

Why Do Dubai Hot Air Balloon Rides Always Happen at Sunrise?

Nobody loves a 4 am alarm on holiday. So why can't you take a balloon ride in the Dubai desert at a civilised hour, or at sunset like a desert safari? The sunrise is beautiful, but that isn't really why balloons fly then. It's about air temperature, wind and safety. Here's the explanation in plain English.Quick AnswerHot air balloons in Dubai fly at sunrise because the early-morning air is cool, calm and stable. Once the sun heats the desert sand, it creates rising currents of hot air (thermals) and gusty winds that make balloon flight unpredictable and landings unsafe. Cool air also gives the balloon more lift, so it can carry more people with less fuel.Reason 1: The Winds Are Calmest Around DawnBalloons can only fly safely in light winds. Unlike a plane or helicopter, a balloon has no engine to push it; it travels with the wind. Gentle wind means a smooth flight and a soft landing. Strong or gusty wind means a fast, bumpy landing, or no flight at all.In the desert, wind is usually at its lightest in the early morning. As the day warms up, the wind generally picks up, often through the afternoon.Reason 2: No Desert Thermals YetWhen the sun heats the sand, the air just above it warms and rises in columns called thermals. Birds of prey and gliders love them. Balloons don't.A balloon flying into a thermal can be lifted or pushed unexpectedly, which makes it hard for the pilot to control altitude precisely. Desert sand heats quickly, so thermals start forming not long after sunrise. By mid-morning, conditions are usually no longer suitable. That's why flights are timed to take off around first light and land before the heat builds.Reason 3: Cool Air Means More LiftA hot air balloon flies because the air inside the envelope is hotter, and therefore lighter, than the air outside. The bigger the temperature difference, the more lift the balloon gets.On a cool morning, the pilot only needs to heat the envelope a moderate amount to get strong lift.On a hot afternoon, when the air outside might be 40°C or more, the envelope would have to be heated much more to generate the same lift, which means more fuel, more strain on the fabric and fewer passengers. This is also why balloon flights are easier in the cooler months, and why passenger weight matters so much at booking.Reason 4: Stable Air for a Smooth, Quiet FlightOvernight the ground cools, leaving a layer of cool, stable air near the surface. This stable layer is what gives you that famous smooth, silent feeling on a sunrise flight, where it feels like you're standing still while the world moves below.Reason 5: Safer LandingsEverything comes together at the end of the flight. Light winds mean a slower landing speed, and the chase crew can reach the landing site easily across the desert. That's why the safety rules put so much emphasis on the weather.Reason 6 (the Bonus): The LightAnd yes, the view. Sunrise light is low and warm, so it brings out every ripple in the dunes, casts long shadows and turns the sand orange and gold. Wildlife is also more active in the cool morning. It's the best time of day to see the desert, as well as the safest time to fly. Find out what you see from the basket. Why Not at Sunset?Evenings are usually windier and the air is still warm from the day, with thermals still rising from hot sand. Even if conditions calmed down, the balloon would have to land as it got dark, which makes it much harder for the pilot to judge the landing and for the chase crew to follow. Sunrise gives the pilot more daylight and calmer air for landing. Is There a Best Season for Sunrise Flights?Flights run through much of the year, but the cooler months (roughly October to April) usually have the most comfortable temperatures, clearer air and the best views. In summer, the sun rises earlier, so pickups are earlier too. See our guide to the best time to visit Dubai.Making the Early Start EasierGo to bed early the night before and lay out your clothes.Sleep on the drive.
