What To Wear

Desert mornings can be surprisingly cold, especially from November to March, so wear layers you can take off as the sun comes up. Choose comfortable, closed-toe flat shoes, since the landing site is sandy and uneven and you will need to climb in and out of the basket. Bring a cap or hat: the burners overhead give off heat during the flight. Avoid long, loose scarves and high heels.

Safety Policy

All flights operate under UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) regulations. Every guest receives a safety briefing before take-off and must sign a waiver form on-site. Flights only go ahead in safe weather and may be rescheduled or cancelled if conditions are unsuitable. All transfers use 4x4 vehicles carrying a maximum of 6 guests.

Safety & Tour Requirements

Guests must be aged 5 to 80, moderately fit, and able to climb in and out of the balloon basket without help. Pregnant women cannot fly. Ballooning is not suitable for guests with heart conditions, severe knee or back problems, major surgery in the last 6 months, or a fear of heights. Passengers over 119 kg (260 lbs) must purchase an additional seat.

The flight itself lasts up to 60 minutes, depending on wind and weather on the day. Including pickup, the pre-flight briefing, and breakfast and activities at the camp, most packages take up most of the morning.
Guests must be between 5 and 80 years old to fly. For packages that include quad biking, the quad bike rider must be at least 16 years old.
Passengers over 119 kg (260 lbs) must purchase an additional seat. Each passenger's weight is required at the time of booking under GCAA regulations.
A valid passport copy for each passenger, along with each passenger's weight, is mandatory at the time of booking under GCAA regulations. Every guest must also sign a waiver form on-site before the flight.
All flights depend on the weather and may be rescheduled or cancelled for passenger safety. If the operator cancels your flight, we will help you move to another date or arrange a refund.
Sharing 4x4 transfers are available within Dubai city limits. The following areas are excluded: Dubai Investment Park, Expo Dubai, Al Maktoum Airport, Palm Jebel Ali, Al Khawneej, Al Aweer and Dubai South. Guests staying in these areas can still book a private transfer.
Yes. On the sharing packages you can upgrade to a private 4x4 for an extra 350 AED per vehicle (up to 6 guests, Dubai pickups only). Please request the upgrade when you book.
Yes. Private charters are available for up to 10 guests (8,999 AED) or up to 27 guests (19,999 AED), and Breakfast in the Sky is available as a private flight for up to 4 guests (9,999 AED). All charters include private 4x4 transfers.
